Who Can Delete an Account
Only the account holder can start deletion. Deletion is irreversible. Please read the consequences below before you proceed.
How to Delete
In the app
- Open WangYuYun and go to the account tab;
- Tap your profile at the top and find Delete Account on your profile pages;
- Read the notice and confirm when prompted;
- Once you confirm, the account is deleted immediately and cannot be restored.
By email
If you cannot sign in, email support@wangyu.cc from your registered address with "Delete account" in the subject line. We will verify that you control the address and process the request within 7 business days.
What Happens After Deletion
- all sessions and device credentials are revoked immediately and active connections are dropped;
- your email address, display name, avatar, the IP address you signed up from, and other profile data are erased or anonymised;
- your devices are removed from the account: the device names, models, operating system and app versions, and IP addresses stored with your devices and signed-in sessions are erased, and your push tokens are deleted;
- remaining data allowance, unexpired plans, trial credit, and check-in rewards are forfeited with no cash value and no refund;
- support tickets are deleted 12 months after they close;
- transaction records are retained where law or tax rules require, but are unlinked from your identity;
- usage records, sign-in and security logs, configuration-fetch and app-open records, and server request records are kept only for the retention periods in our Privacy Policy, then deleted;
- we keep an irreversible one-way hash of the account's email address and of each linked Apple or Google account identifier, to prevent the same identity from registering again;
- for each device we keep only its device identifier, platform, and when it was used: on the device record, which retained usage records and abuse controls rely on, and on the record that the device has already received the free trial (without your email or IP address), so the trial is not granted to the same device twice.
